Ammar al-Hakim to arrive in Cairo for talks with senior Egyptian officials on the crisis, Iraqi government
Cairo: arrived in Cairo today, the President of the Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq Ammar al-Hakim's visit to Egypt is expected to discuss developments which required the formation of the Iraqi government.
Diplomats said that the Iraqi al-Hakim, who arrived in Ankara to meet tonight with Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman, and it is likely to meet with President Hosni Mubarak.
The diplomats said that talks between al-Hakim, who was accompanied by a number of his advisers will focus on efforts to form a government after seven months of parliamentary elections.
Hakim was visited Ankara this week and met with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip R. Dugan and Foreign Minister Ahmed Davutoglu.
