All I can say is "Wow" ... What is Fact and What is Fiction? ...

One particular subject I wonder about is how the media controls our way of thinking. The mass media forms for us an image of the world and then they tell us what to think about that image. Essentially everything we know .. or think we know .. about events outside our own neighborhood or circle of acquaintances comes to us via our computers, newspapers, our weekly news magazine, our radio, and the number one, Television.

For example, the way in which the news is covered: which items are emphasized and which are played down; the reporter's choice of words, tone of voice, and facial expressions; the wording of headlines; the choice of illustrations .. all of these things subliminally and yet profoundly affect the way in which we interpret what we see or hear.

The following article has me asking, again, what is true and what is fiction. When our current president was unveiled to the world, he was a virtual unknown and he became like a "rock star" overnight. Of course, I realize he is manipulated by those higher up and that he can be taken down or built up depending on what "their" agenda might be. And, I realize the media is the chosen outlet in which that is accomplished.

The current president has so much controversy following him; for example, his citizenship ... is he or isn't he a U.S. citizen. If the answer to that question is No, then the media (owned by the elite) have him in their pocket, so to speak. It must be like the pit and the pendulum for this current president. (kel)
