BAGHDAD (Iba) .. consultative seminar was held fifteen Constitutional Hall House of Representatives on Tuesday in the presence of a number of deputies and Adel Abdul Mahdi, Vice-President of the Republic and the university professors and representatives of civic organizations, to discuss the reality of higher education in Iraq.
At the beginning of the seminar, said Abdel-Mahdi, the main objective of holding these seminars was to attend the House of Representatives and the pressure towards the end open meeting of the House of Representatives, stating that there is a proposal for continuation of such seminars, even after the House of Representatives held its parliamentary tradition to be discussed when the overall public issues.
In this regard, saw Dr. Haider Al-Zubaidi that these seminars were represented opportunity to interact elitist and Social Council with the level of political and parliamentary referring to the themes discussed by the seminars during the last weeks of political issues, economic, service and health and education, educational, and former Deputy Mowaffaq al-Rubaie was considered holding these seminars serve as a link between the elite political and social elites to fill the void that occurred after 2003, while between them, a proposal to hold further meetings expanded and codified.
The Sheikh Sabah al-Saadi MP for the National Coalition has called on politicians and representatives of civil society organizations working to end the open meeting of the House of Representatives, which is the objective basis for the holding of these seminars as well as discuss various topics.
And on the main focus of the symposium, called a conciliator Professor Tai professor at the University of Mesopotamia to pay attention to a generation of talent which she completed her studies outside of Iraq where the former will have a major role in education to possessing a good balance of scientific, also stressed the need to rely on local talent.
For his part, saw Zuhair Abdul Ghani Hamadi, there is no vision and a clear learning the new system in Iraq, stressing that it is not possible to separate between basic education and higher education as an integrated system, required to provide financial allocations to the education sector and to send students qualified abroad to complete their studies in the areas scientific and human alike.

Then touched deputy coalition Iraqi Mohammed Tamim to the phenomenon of slack in educational institutions, calling for a focus on infrastructure development for universities Iraq's ancient and that the expansion of universities thoughtfully, adding the need to raise the level of competencies undergraduate Iraqi and facilitate the return of brain gain and the absorption of graduates of medical universities and engineering.
Hussein al-Musawi and conclude the symposium claim to enact legislation to recognize the independence of the Iraqi universities in terms of management, financial and curriculum change, which helps in the development and coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
