September 8, 2010 Vice President Adel Abdul-Mahdi receives the U.S. Ambassador to Iraq
Received the Vice-President Adel Abdul Mahdi, in his office on Wednesday (09/08/2010) U.S. ambassador in Baghdad, Mr. James Jeffrey.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in the political arena and the ongoing consultations between the political blocs on forming a government, as Deputy President of the Republic to form a government crisis was nearing its end and heading to the solution.
The new Vice-President of the Republic should not be exclusion or marginalization of any party and stressed the importance of the various parties to demonstrate the flexibility necessary to bridge the gap in views between the political blocs.
On his part, U.S. Ambassador hoped that the new government is formed as soon as possible, stressing that the formation of the government is a purely Iraqi affair.
