Vice President Adel Abdul-Mahdi receives U.S. Ambassador James Jeffrey
Received the Vice-President Adel Abdul Mahdi, in his office on Sunday afternoon (9/5/2010) U.S. Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. James Jeffrey and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting dealt with the situation in Iraq after the withdrawal of foreign forces as Vice President of the Republic during the meeting the importance of adhering to the terms of the security agreement as approved by the House of Representatives and approved by the Iraqi government, noting the significant progress made by Iraqi forces at the level of the fight against terrorism and violence.
The Vice President stressed the need for all kinds of support and training for the armed forces to be more qualified and readiness in the war against terrorism and criminal gangs and to protect Iraq and Iraqis from any aggression or attack.
He reviewed the Vice President and U.S. Ambassador political situation in the country and the latest developments and stressed the importance of involving all the national forces in shaping the new government to achieve genuine national partnership reassure everyone.
