Returned President Jalal Talabani and his delegation to Baghdad yesterday evening, after his participation in the work of the sixty-fifth session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, which was held in New York.
President Talabani gave a speech as Iraq during his participation in the work of the General Assembly, where he addressed the general situation in Iraq and achievements over the past years, both internal and external, and Iraq's foreign policy and positive impacts on the nature of relations with the Arab, regional and international levels.
He called President Talabani, in his speech, the UN Security Council to review its decisions, which issued on Iraq and seeking to take it out of Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.
President Talabani also took part in the meetings of the Organization of the Socialist International as Vice President of the organization, and met a number of presidents and world leaders, and discuss several fundamental issues in his meeting with OIC Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
