September 29, 2010 Sadr will not meet Allawi in Syria
BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr, the head of the Sadr Movement, will not travel to Syria to meet Ayad Allawi, the head of the al-Iraqiya Alliance, said a ranking member of the movement.
“Sadr did not travel to Syria to meet Allawi,” Lawmaker Bahaa al-Aaraji told Aswat al-Iraq news agency on Wednesday.
He explained that he doesn’t know whether the Syrian government has addressed an invitation to Sadr in this regard.
