Prime Minister Nuri Al-Maliki meets U.S. commander in Iraq

Receive Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki at his office today, the official commander of U.S. forces in Iraq, Gen. Lloyd Austin.

The Prime Minister said during the meeting: that Iraq today has become has forces capable of defeating any enemy will not return to the days ago, we were able, through intelligence effort to detect many of the cells enemy of al-Qaeda and others, and the enemy turned in some areas undercover is surrounded by cells that appear from time to time, and we will continue this effort and development.

For his part, congratulated Gen. Lloyd Austin, the Prime Minister on the progress in the armed forces and Iraqi security services and their ability to face challenges, reiterated his country's support for the Iraqi government in its efforts to maintain security and stability in Iraq.
