Beirut, The U.S. envoy to the peace process George Mitchell during his meeting with Lebanese President Michel Suleiman at the presidential palace in the Lebanese capital Beirut, it's Islam in the Middle East without Lebanon.
Mitchell said in a statement to reporters, said the United States supports the Lebanese government and Lebanese sovereignty and insists on the continued support of the army and security forces through military aid.
"There is no peace in the Middle East without the settlement of Lebanon, not at the expense of the refugee that he did not settle in Lebanon.
He stressed the U.S. administration's insistence on full implementation of resolution 1701 Menderjath.
It was Mitchell, who arrived today in Beirut, he met Defense Minister Elias Murr, Lebanon's army commander of the Armed and lose the international forces in the south (UNIFIL).
