Iraqi-Syrian PMs discuss Iraq
Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki conferred over the phone with his Syrian counterpart Mohammed Naji Al Otari and discussed bilateral relations, Al Maliki’s media adviser Ali Al Moussawi said.
Syria or other countries are not involved in the government formation believed to be an internal issue, Al Moussawi noted.
Iraqi-Syrian relations were not affected despite crisis due to the mutual trust between both countries, he added.
Both parties agreed to preserve the interests of the Iraqi and Syrian people, Al Moussawi noted.
Al Maliki did not accuse Syria of embracing or supporting groups, however, he pointed fingers at the armed groups aimed to damage bilateral ties, Al Maliki’s adviser clarified.
