Vice President Adel Abdul-Mahdi receives the Special Representative of the Secretary-General

Received the Vice-President Adel Abdul Mahdi in his office on Wednesday (09/08/2010) The Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr. Ad Melkert.
The Vice President expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the United Nations towards the promotion of stability and security in Iraq and stressed the importance of the role of the United Nations in providing technical support and technical level of development of the economy and services in the country.
During the meeting, reviewed the political developments in the country and the efforts of all the political blocs to reach an agreement to form a government as soon as possible.
For his part, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for the United Nations stands ready to provide all kinds of support and assistance to Iraq to get him out of the Section VII and promote an atmosphere of trust between him and the surrounding region.
