Stressed President Jalal Talabani on the importance of expediting the formation of government of a people's aspirations.
Talabani made the assurance during a meeting at the Peace Palace in Baghdad yesterday, U.S. delegation included Tony Pellnkn Adviser Vice President for National Security Affairs, and Puneet Talwar, a member of the National Security Council and Christopher Hill, U.S. ambassador to Iraq and several other officials.
The presidential statement received »Sabah» copy of which was that the two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States, emphasizing the need to develop and expand so as to enhance ties of friendship between the two countries.
During the meeting, they discussed the political situation and the constraints faced by the democratic process in the country, highlighted President Talabani light on the political scene and the current talks between the political blocs aimed at forming the next government, noting the difficulties that have prevented an agreement that satisfies the aspirations of the political entities winner, pointing out in this regard that «the democratic process in Iraq is still new, it is natural to suffer from some fords difficult on the road to embed this experiment».
He also explained the president's constitutional procedures to be followed for the selection of the three presidencies, the commissioning of a candidate parliamentary bloc, the most numerous to form a government, as President Talabani and the members of the U.S. delegation the importance of speed in reaching a common vision among the political blocs to form a government actors and genuine national partnership represents all components of Iraqi society and achieve the aspirations of the people.
For their part, new members of the delegation visiting the United States to support the political process and democracy in Iraq, and the aspirations of their country to the Iraqis themselves can reach a formula acceptable to all parties essential to Iraq is more stability, harmony and prosperity.
