Discussed the scientific conference held by the Ministry of Planning and Development Cooperation on the role of metrology (the science of measurement) in the protection of the national economy and to ensure consumer rights. The President invited the Central Agency for Standardization and Quality Control in the Ministry of Planning and Development Cooperation attention to the subject of metrology and promotion of and access tags to the ranks of developed countries.

For his part, Director General of the National Center for Laboratories and Research in Construction and the Ministry of Construction and Housing Laith Salim Prince that the more developed nations in the field of science and technology increased the need for science to standardization and metrology.
He called the Prince during the conference held in cooperation with the U.S. Agency for International Development, that there is additional support by the State to the competent institutions to catch up with developed countries that use this type of science.
The meeting, which ends on Monday, four-pronged: First, the role of metrology in industry and production, health and environment, international trade and protect the national economy and consumer protection, while the second axis is Metrology scientific, research, and the third metrology industry, as discussed fourth axis Legal Metrology.
