Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and Washington to activate the terms of the strategic framework and support for the electricity sector in the country, while stressing that the features of the new government began to clear.
This came during a meeting in his official office yesterday a delegation from the U.S. Congress. Al-Maliki said during the meeting the government's keenness to develop relations with the United States in various fields and activating the strategic framework agreement.
The Framework Convention contains 11 items, based on the number of general principles for charting the course of the future relationship between the two countries, the most prominent «political cooperation, diplomatic and defense cooperation, security and cultural cooperation, as well as cooperation for health, environmental and cooperation in the field of information technology and communications, as well as cooperation in saving Law and Justice ».
The prime minister said «We want to deepen relationships within the framework agreement strategic because the military phase was successfully completed through the Convention on the withdrawal of the forces that were distinct through the proper application and commitment by both parties, and we have the desire to develop relations in economic, agricultural, commercial and scientific fields.
