Received by Mr. Hoshyar Zebari, the foreign minister on Wednesday, 18/08/2010 at his official new U.S. ambassador-designate in Iraq, James Jeffrey and received a copy of his credentials.
Mr. Downer welcomed the arrival of Ambassador Jeffrey underlined the close ties between the two countries, praising his predecessor, Ambassador Christopher Hill for his efforts in promoting good relations between Iraq and the United States.
