August 16, 2010No bloc has so far agreed to Kurdish demands – Kurdish MP
ARBIL / Aswat al-Iraq: No (Arab) political bloc has yet officially agreed to the 20 demands and suggestions proposed by the Kurdistan Alliance to form the new Iraqi government, Kurdish Lawmaker Dara Mohammed said on Monday.
“The blocs may need more time,” Mohammed told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
He expected that the blocs will respond to the Kurdish demands early next week.
Mohammed stressed that the Kurds refuse to marginalize any Iraqi component from the ongoing political process.
“We cannot join a coalition with the Sunnis to form the government without the Shiites, and vise versa,” he added
