BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Dawlat al-Qanoon Alliance insists on nominating current Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki for a second term in office, Ali al-Allaq, a leading figure of the alliance, said on Saturday.
“We have no other alternative,” al-Allaq told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
He noted that the delay in forming the Iraqi new government cannot be attributed to this nomination.
