Delay in forming the Iraqi government suspended vital economic projects in the country

Baghdad, - The Counsellor, Economic Affairs, the Iraqi government said on Saturday that the delay in forming the new government has halted a large number of vital projects and the task, pointing out that this delay negatively affects the pace of development and investment in the country.

He added that "there are government institutions did not raise any investment project implementation because of the fear of delayed approval of the disbursement of budget due to delays in forming the government."

Iraq relies on oil exports, mainly to support the economy and investment in the country, and reaches Iraq's oil production is 2.5 million barrels a day, the Government announced on several occasions that it has developed a plan to increase oil exports to 12 million barrels per day by 2017.


And Iraq is undergoing a political crisis as a result of the failure of the blocks in winning election to an agreement on the formation of the cluster, which will cost the government.
