2 Shiite alliances to form “committee of wise men”
BAGHDAD, The Iraqi National Alliance (INA) and Dawlat al-Qanoon Alliance will form a “committee of wise men” to select a mutual candidate for the position of Iraq’s prime minister.
“The committee will be formed on June 10, 2010,” Adnan al-Saraj of the Dawlat al-Qanoon Alliance told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
He noted that each of the two alliances will be represented by seven members in this committee.
“The committee will choose the candidate by the mid to end of next week,” al-Saraj noted.
