June 03, 2010Thai PM to attend World Economic Forum in Vietnam
Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva will attend the World Economic Forum on East Asia in Vietnam on Sunday, acting government spokesman Panitan Wattanayagorn said Thursday.
The forum will be held from June 6 to 7 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, current chairman of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
During his one-day trip, Abhisit will hold bilateral talks with ASEAN leaders and give an interview to foreign news media on the political situation in Thailand, the Bangkok Post webiste quoted Panitan as saying.
Meanwhile, the prime minister will also meet with chief executive officers of the business attending the forum to help restore confidence in Thailand of investors in the region, the spokesman said.
