3rd unit of al-Kahlaa power plant starts operating next month
MISSAN / Aswat al-Iraq: The third unit of al-Kahlaa power plant in Missan will start operating as of next month at a capacity of 45 Megawatt, the director of the plant said on Thursday.
“Within the plan, made by U.S. experts, who supervise the plant, the third unit of the new al-Kahlaa power plant will start operating as of next July 1,” Engineer Thaer Ismail told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The total production capacity of the unit reaches 45 Megawatt,” he added.
Amara, the capital of Missan, is 390 km south of Baghdad.
