BAGHDAD, Iraqi Finance Ministry has received $440 million as a loan from the International Fund Monetary.
“The loan is processed according to an agreement between the two sides through which Iraq should get an amount of $3.6 billion in total from the International Fund Monetary,” the Iraqi ministry said in a release on Wednesday as received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
It noted that the received $440 million is the first dispatch of the total amount.
“Other dispatches are coming ahead this year,” the statement explained.

IMF An official source at the Finance Ministry in a press statement today after the approval of the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund IMF February 2010 at the Emergency Support Agreement Signed between Iraq and the Fund under which Iraq would give the Fund a loan to support the budget limits (6.3) billion dollars, Iraq received the first installment of (440) million dollars and credited to the Ministry of Finance to the Central Bank of Iraq.
The source pointed out that there are other payments will be received during this year after completing the audit the first and second agreement SBA And the remaining pick in 2011.
He also received the amount of Iraq's first loan to support the budget granted by the World Bank's (250) million dollars out of an apportionment of (500)million dollars.
