Iraqi contractors are demanding their government, regardless of financial dues

Baghdad, A number of contractors of U.S. forces and the Iraqi government ended its mandate, on Wednesday, regardless of financial dues which had been delayed for more than six months.

From his part, the director of "territories in Sharjah," Taher Hammoud for (Akaniwz) that "the U.S. company is required 135 million Dinars, and pledged to the Ministerial Committee for payment against its implementation of initial projects in the country but this has not been applied to the ground."

He pointed out that "the Committee did not meet after the local companies that request an American company, and remained the case on what it until this moment."

Hammoud noted that "companies that require the U.S. company will provide evidence of legal commitments made by the central committee of the prime minister to the owners of local companies as soon as open the case prosecuted."

He called the contractor Mohammed Batti the Iraqi government to make "further efforts in the investigation of this issue, which is supposed to have a clear position on this matter."

He told (Akaniwz) that "the government did not react with this issue for reasons unknown, especially since the State Committee of the Investment Authority did not deal professionally with this file".

"We expect quick solutions, otherwise we will take the case before the Iraqi judiciary to the State Commission in charge of the subject, which did not provide anything tangible for us."

He stressed, "there are real problems in the performance of the committee, which did not meet only once, the affected companies about the loss of an American company in Iraq."
