Committee announced that the implementation and follow-up national reconciliation in the Council of Ministers for a government plan to set most of the elements of the Sons of Iraq (the Awakening earlier) in the Ministries of State, confirmed the appointment of some 40 thousand troops.
The committee said in a report released on its work during the past two years: that «the number of contractors Awakening in Baghdad and other cities was 92 691 Contracting», indicating that «the number of elements of the Awakening Councils in Baghdad at about 52 623 element». The committee said that «the number of members of the Awakening in Baghdad who have been appointment to the service ministries amounted to about 30121, while the total number who had been appointed in the security services of the Ministry of the Interior to 9418 », indicating that« the remaining elements of the Awakening in the breakers of operations in Baghdad at 13084 element including 246 Commander Sahoat, and 738 represent members of the protection », and« Awakening the number of elements in the ongoing work within the Breaker operations in the provinces amounted to about 40 06.
Follow-up Committee and the implementation of national reconciliation has said it has a plan ready for appointment to the security organs of the Ministry of the Interior, as well as the appointment of the other part of them in the service ministries», indicating that «this plan will be implemented after the removal of security imperatives in the governorates of Anbar, Nineveh and Wasit, Babil, Kirkuk, Salahuddin and Diyala.
