June 16, 2010Barham Saleh holds talks with British officials in London
London, Prime Minister of Iraq’s Kurdistan region, Barham Saleh, stressed on Wednesday on the importance of boosting relations with Britain, a media source of the Kurdistan’s delegation said.
“Saleh held a meeting on Wednesday (June 16) with Alistair Burt, Middle East Minister in the Foreign Office, with whom he discussed ways of boosting bilateral relations and political issues,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“Saleh called on British investors to come and invest in the region,” the source added.
For his part, Burt expressed happiness to organize the commercial conference in London, expressing his government’s readiness to cooperate with the region.
