Arab FMs decide to file law suits against Israel: Al-Roudhan

Arab foreign ministers decided, in their extraordinary meeting which wrapped up in the early hours of Thursday, to file law suits against Israel at international courts over its inhumane attack on defenseless civilians, mid-sea, and the siege it is imposing on Gaza Strip, said Kuwait's Acting Foreign Minister Roudhan Al-Roudhan.

Al-Roudhan, who is also State Minister for Cabinet Affairs and the head of the Kuwaiti delegation to the ministerial meeting, told KUNA that the foreign ministers also called for breaking the Israeli siege imposed on Gaza Strip.

Moreover, he said the foreign ministers called for delivering food and medical aid to Gaza Strip, as well as material needed for reconstruction, through all possible means.

They also condemned the Israeli military attack on the 'Freedom Flotilla' in international waters, which left civilians dead and wounded, and decided to file law suits against Israel at international courts over this attack on defenseless civilians at mid-sea, as well as over the siege it was imposing on Gaza Strip, he said.

In their final communique, Al-Roudhan said the ministers called on States, international organizations, and the UN Security Council to condemn the Israeli siege on Gaza, and to take steps to lift this siege and to help humanitarian organizations break it.

Al-Roudhan added that the ministerial statement saluted the activists that took part in the 'Freedom Flotilla' and prayed for those martyred in the Israeli attack on the convoy, while hailing the honorable stance of Turkey and that of other countries that condemned this Israeli attack and expressed solidarity with the Palestinians and their just cause.

The Kuwaiti delegation to the meeting, headed by Al-Roudhan, also grouped Director of the Foreign Ministry's Arab World Department Ambassador Jassem Al-Mubaraki, Kuwait's Permanent Representative to the Arab League Ambassador Abdullah Al-Mansour, and First Secretary in the Kuwaiti Mission to the League Mohammad Al-Hajri.
