BAGHDAD, US Vice President Joe Biden will visit Iraq in the upcoming hours or in the next few days in attempt to help with the consultation efforts on forming an Iraqi government, well informed sources said on Sunday.
The sources told KUNA that Biden will meet with a number of Iraqi leaders, including those who won the recent legislative elections, among them the President of Iraqiya List Ayad Alawi and Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki.
The sources added that Biden will help with efforts regarding consultations with the Iraqi political parties involved, particularly after the election commission finished the manual recount of votes in Baghdad.
