May 19, 2010Kuwait FM to chair GCC ministerial meeting in Jeddah
Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah will preside over the 115th ministerial session of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), due in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday.
The session gains additional significance as it follows the GCC consultative summit meeting, held here on Tuesday, GCC Secretary-General Abdulrahman Al-Atiyyah told reporters here on Wednesday.
"The ministerial meeting, coinciding with delicate circumstances being undergone by the Gulf region, is scheduled to probe a range of regional political and security issues and review the march of GCC joint action," Al-Atiyyah added.
