May 20, 2010 Sistani meets AL ambassador
BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Top Shiite cleric Sayyid Ali al-Sistani received the Ambassador of the Arab League in Baghdad Naji Shalgham at his office in Najaf on Thursday.
“The head of the Arab League’s mission will also visit top Shiite cleric Sheikh Bashier al-Najafi,” Aswat al-Iraq news agency’s correspondent said.
Shalgham will hold a press conference in Najaf later on the day to speak about the outcome of his meetings with the two Shiite clerics.
