Met with President Jalal Talabani at his residence in Cairo on Saturday 8/5/2010, the Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit and intelligence chief, Omar Suleiman, the Egyptian minister separately, and the Ministers welcomed warmly welcome His Excellency President Jalal Talabani and saw that the visit are of paramount importance at this juncture.
During the two meetings discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and enhancing them in all fields.
The President stressed the importance of expanding these relations especially after the formation of the Iraqi government that will emerge from the new Council of Representatives.
President Talabani stressed the importance of forming a government partnership and a wide national will to achieve stability and progress and work on building and strengthening Iraq's relations with its Arab and neighboring levels.
Their part of the two ministers stressed that the Arab Republic of Egypt is always working to support the stability of Iraq as a pillar of stability in the region.
The meetings were attended by Senior Adviser to the President of the Republic Mr Fakhri Karim.
