Oil Ministry Celebrates the anniversary of the founding of OPEC

Ministry of Petroleum is preparing to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries "OPEC".
The ministry spokesman Assem Jihad said in press statements supplied by reporter (and the Iraqi News Agency Information / INA) that "the celebration includes many events, will be attended by representatives of Member States of the Organization, adding that" Iraq had a big role in the founding of this organization also seeks to be an active member in it.
And about the size of Iraqi oil exports and its impact on Iraq's membership in OPEC, said Jihad said Iraq's oil exports of about 2.0005 million barrels a day "This is not commensurate with the size of oil reserves of Iraq, and that this command does not affect Iraq's membership in the Organization."
The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries was founded in Baghdad in 1960 and was established to ensure the rights of Petroleum Exporting Countries.
