May 8, 2010 Japan wants to support Iraq – ambassador
BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Japanese government wants a new Iraqi cabinet to be formed as soon as possible so that it can continue its trade and economic support of Iraq, the Japanese ambassador to Iraq said on Saturday.
“We believe the results of the election were suitable, honest, and transparent,” the ambassador told the press including Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
He noted that Japan will expand its trade and economic presence in Iraq after the new Iraqi government is formed.
