BAGHDAD (Iba) The president of the Iraqi Council of Representatives in favor of Ayad al-Samarrai to Kuwait on Monday evening for a number of meetings with Kuwaiti officials.
The news agency quoted the Kuwaiti al-Samarrai told reporters at Kuwait International Airport that the aim of his official visit which will last five days is a follow-up to a previous visit to Kuwait by the desire of the Iraqi Council of Representatives in documenting and strengthening the relationship with the Kuwaiti parliament.
He expressed his sincere thanks to the Kuwaiti political leadership, headed by His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the interest they claimed the Iraqi issue and their determination to stabilize the situation and progress in Iraq.
Samarrai said that message I am either in this or previous visit of the Kuwaiti people is that there is a need for development, deepening and strengthening of relations between the two peoples through continued communication and discuss issues at the level of openness.
He said if there were some obstacles at any stage, it is incumbent for us to examine ways of eliminating them, saying that the visit is a continuation and follow-up to his previous visit in July of last year.
