Al-Iraqiya List has decided to move from being an electoral alliance to exist as a political movement, Hayder al-Mullah, the spokesperson of al-Iraqiya, said on Wednesday.
He explained that a project of national reconciliation should start by putting an end to the debaathification process.
“We made the decision yesterday to move from being an electoral alliance to exist as a political movement,” al-Mullah told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
He noted that the new movement “will be announced within the coming months.”
“If we want to introduce a real change during the coming stage, then we need to start the national reconciliation project by putting an end to all issues that have been illegally motivated, including debaathification,” al-Mullah stressed.
