Egyptian Ambassador in Iraq: the agreement of closer relations between the possession of Najaf, Al-Azhar in Cairo

Sharif had announced recently that the steps from the city of Najaf during his revered Shiite cleric in Iraq Ali Sistani stressed Egypt's keenness on further opening up to all parties in Iraq so as to promote Egyptian-Iraqi relations.

He said that Mr. Sistani confirmed the need for the return of Arab relations with Iraq and to embrace our brothers the Arabs and all Muslims had a major impact in the consolidation and strengthening the relationship with our brothers the Egyptians.
Khatib stressed that the development of relations between Al Azhar and Najaf to be reflected positively on the situation in Iraq as a major reference points in the Muslim world.
Khatib predicted that these steps will consolidate the bonds of brotherhood, unity and harmony between Sunnis and Shiites, and put an end to all those who seek to stir up sectarian strife between Muslims and maliciousness
