British Embassy: London is committed to implementing all its commitments toward Iraq
BAGHDAD (AP) - The British embassy in Baghdad, London's commitment to implement all its commitments toward Iraq and its support for democracy with the advent of any new government.
A statement of the Embassy of the deputy British ambassador to Iraq John Wilkes said: "that any British government a new future will be keen to implement its obligations and fulfill its commitments with Iraq," stressing that "the next government, whether the problem of the Conservative Party and Liberal Democrats or Labour and Liberal Democrats will focus on the development of and strengthening relations with Iraq. "
Wilkes stressed that his country is "to encourage Iraqi political leaders to form a new government as soon as possible", indicating a continuation of London, its contacts and moves to support the democratic process.
