Stressed the supreme religious authority, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani that the reference is on the same distance from all parties and it does not interfere in politics and do not have a negative attitude towards any party.
The adviser said Fakhri Karim, President of the Republic at a press conference after his meeting with Sistani in Najaf today that the role of reference "essential and necessary to prevent threats to the political process and to ensure everyone's participation in the formation of the government."
Karim said the "reference supports the participation of all parties in the next government," he said, adding that "Mr. Sistani stressed that the reference does not interfere with politics, it stands at the same distance from all parties and do not have a negative attitude towards any party."
The Fakhri Karim, Adviser to the President Jalal Talabani arrived in Najaf this morning with a message from Talabani to the religious authority, Mr. Ali al-Sistani.
