Financial plans to end the file of debt during the current year

Finance Ministry plans to end the file of debt in 2010, after most of the creditor countries willing to reduce that debt, according to an adviser at the Ministry of Finance Zia Alckheon.

Alckheon said in a press statement that "the plan prepared by the Ministry of Finance to reduce the size of debt are going on according to the study prepared by the Commission on debt reduction, which ended a large part of its tasks successfully."

The Iraq still owed to some Arab countries, including the Gulf States by 21 billion dollars, 15 billion dinars to Saudi Arabia, and six billion dollars to Kuwait, and negotiations are under way to settle permanently.
