The Iraqi government ended their mandates, on Monday, has signed an agreement with the United States to address the drought the country has experienced in the recent period.
Ali al-Dabbagh, the government spokesman said "Iraq deal (most recently) the Convention on integrated with the U.S. side to address the problem of desertification in Iraq in the recent period due to lack of alleged water of the Tigris and Euphrates, and also the lack of rainfall."
He explained that "the U.S. side expressed its desire to support the engineering cadres and Iraqi agricultural and training plans modern that would reduce the amount of drought in Iraq."
Dabbagh said that "the Iraqi government will import modern equipment, accurate to deal with salinity, drought, and under the supervision of specialized professors."
He pointed out that "the government commissioned the Ministry of Agriculture conducted a field survey of all land to determine the salinity, drought and agricultural problems with a view to correct them as quickly as possible."
Iraq has seen in the recent period of drought and desertification due to lower staff of the waters of the Tigris and Euphrates.
