At his residence in Baghdad on Saturday 10/4/2010, Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq Ed Melkert.
During the meeting discussed the tasks undertaken by UN representation in Iraq, the framework of its role assigned to it.
As outlined by His Excellency Vice-President, the distinguished representative of the Secretary General and his visions for the development of the work of Representative Office and its role both in completing the electoral process through the Electoral Commission for elections or the role to facilitate the construction of some scenarios already to the Iraqi side that the request for technical advice and assistance where just like any other constitutional issues and administrative and organizational matters.
For his part, Melkert commended the efforts exerted by His Excellency Deputy to the Iraqi political arena, once again support the United Nations to continue helping the Iraqi people
