RIYADH - The Ministerial Committee of Heads of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Monetary Markets Authorities Boards is holding its first meeting in Riyadh on Wednesday, with Kuwaiti participation.
The Kuwaiti delegation is to be headed by Minister of Commerce and Industry Ahmad Rashid Al-Haroun.
GCC Secretary General Abdelrahman Al-Atiyyah said the committee is to discuss integration among the GCC markets and efforts to unify policies and mechanisms.

He pointed out this meeting is part of ongoing effort to develop cooperation and coordination in this field to help progress towards the GCC Monetary Union.
The GCC Supreme Council's 30th session had assigned the concerned committee to lay down mechanisms to implement the fifth article of the economic agreement, related to enhancing the GCC investment atmosphere.
