Iraq's ambassador-designate to Kuwait, Mohammad Hussein Bahr al-Ulum had not received any formal decision set in the time the ratification of the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry, yesterday on his appointment as ambassador to Iraq at the nomination of former Iraqi and Kuwaiti-Iraqi after consultations in this regard.


Al Watan newspaper quoted the Kuwaiti Bahr al-Ulum said that his name among the names of the candidates in the Iraqi Foreign Ministry for the post of Iraqi ambassador to Kuwait, but he had not received a formal news of his appointment as ambassador to Kuwait.

For her part, the Kuwaiti Foreign adoption Uloum ambassadors, denying the existence of any pressure on the Iranian or Iraqi Kuwait regarding the appointment of Bahr al-Ulum.

Watan quoted Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry sources as saying that the appointment decision was issued in Iraq since the beginning of February last, however, that the Kuwaiti authorities did not adopt it only yesterday, so the timing of the appointment came as no surprise to Kuwait.

The other sources said the appointment of Ambassador Bahr al-Ulum was based on his good relations with Kuwait, in particular, and he and his family were residents of Kuwait and have close trade and investment in them, not to mention he has a good relationship with many of the people of Kuwait.

Wicker said the Iraqi ambassador-designate is the son of a cleric and former Governing Council member Mohammed Bahr al-Ulum, and the brother of former oil minister Ibrahim Bahr al-Ulum.

Meanwhile, across the Kuwaiti academics expressed satisfaction with the Sea of science ambassador to Iraq, and described by some as a move that came too late after the Kuwait named its ambassador to Iraq, and reiterated that the ambassador, in turn remove the suspended sediment after the fall of the former regime.
