GCC parliaments hold coordinative meeting ahead of Arab session
Parliament speakers from the six Gulf Cooperation Council states held a coordinative meeting on Monday, to discuss a joint agenda to be presented at the 16th session of the Arab Parliamentary Union (APU) in Egypt a day later. (Tuesday)
The meeting was called for by Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Jassim Al-Kharafi in order to form a joint GCC opinion on a number of issues on the APU agenda of talks.
The set of meetings over three days aim to discuss regaining Arab integration and means to bolster cooperation, in addition to a strategy to improve education, and maintain culture and the Arab identity.
