Kuwait News Agency

Foreign ministers of Yemen and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states are due to hold their annual meeting in the Yemeni capital on March 16th, Yemeni Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.

The ministry said in a statement the meetings would highlight positive developments regarding Yemen and GCC partnership in light of recent conferences, which were held in Riyadh and London, mainly dealing with donations for Yemenis who were affected with the recent internal fighting.

The statement added the meetings would also cover issues regarding political coordination on various Arab and regional topics, namely the next Arab summit in Libya, combating terrorism, piracy, and other topics of common concern.

Earlier, GCC secretariat said a joint team of the Yemeni government and donors' countries will focus efforts on determining all needed supplies for Yemen in the years 2011-15.
