Gulf Petroleum ‘to build $ 5bn hub in Malaysia’

Qatar-based Gulf Petroleum expects to start construction of a $ 5bn integrated oil and gas complex in Port Dickson, south of Kuala Lumpur, next year, the New Straits Times reported yesterday.

Citing Gulf Petroleum’s managing director, Nor Azmi Abdullah, the Kuala Lumpur-based paper said the company had received proposals from various groups from the member states of the Gulf Co-operation Council, Asia Pacific, Europe and the US, including foreign governments, to participate in the project.
