Central Bank: the Bank's policy to attract funds for banks to curb inflation in Iraq

The Governor of Central Bank of Iraq Shabibi The Bank's policy is to attract funds to Iraqi banks and not the other way to reduce inflation in Iraq, while an adviser may take private banks in Iraq are still not able to advancement of monetary policy in Iraq.

Shabibi said that the Iraqi Central Bank's policy is to attract money to our banks instead of lending to curb inflation in Iraq, adding that the central bank is keen to make the interest rates higher or equal to the inflation that exists in Iraq in order to encourage citizens to save and contribute to the flow of funds to the Central Bank instead of the flow market, which is fueling inflation in Iraq, Shabibi said that the Iraqi Central Bank is closely watching the market and the level of inflation in Iraq, adding that interest rates during these two months commensurate with the inflation that exists in Iraq.
