Iraq had returned to Kuwait the remains of 300 people and a large portion of the documents

Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said on Wednesday that his country returned the remains of 300 Kuwaiti and Qmsa significant Archive in accordance with UN Security Council resolution, "but there are still a lot to bring him back."

The minister said "we gave back so far, 300 bodies missing during the previous period, and gave back much of the Kuwaiti archives, but there remains a lot and we are trying to return."

He added that "Iraq is required under the provisions of Chapter VII of the return of all property and documents and a goodwill gesture to the Kuwaiti confirm that we are interested and serious about this subject."

The Foreign Ministry called on Monday for people to turn their possession of "documents and Kuwaiti property" were seized during the former regime during its invasion of Kuwait in 1990.

The ministry published a declaration urging "all of the possession of any documents or Kuwaiti property previously seized by the dictatorial regime in 1990 to hand over to the ministry."

Zebari said in this regard "through our follow-up and found many of the documents and returned them, we expect people to respond to the Declaration and cooperate with us even if it means re simple. This is one of the conditions set by the Security Council to get Iraq out of Chapter VII."

He said, "this announcement within the Security Council resolutions to get Iraq out of Chapter VII, as well as the requirement to return the bodies of missing persons and property, and all documents relating to Kuwait."

Iraq calls upon the States permanent members of the UN Security Council, helping to get out of Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations, which imposed the sanctions.

The Security Council has forced Iraq to pay 5% of its oil revenues to fund the United Nations for compensation.

The Fund has received requests for compensation of $ 368 billion, but he admitted only $ 52 billion, including 39 billion for Kuwait, and that according to figures from Kuwait and from the Fund.

The push Iraq 27,1 billion dollars in compensation for the invasion, of which about 13 billion to Kuwait is still demanding some $ 25 billion.

In addition to the payment of compensation, sanctions include return of the property of Kuwait and the demarcation of the border between the two countries and reveal the fate of Kuwaiti prisoners.

Kuwait insists on the need not to change the position of the Security Council only after compliance with all Council resolutions.

The International Committee of the Red Cross said the meetings with representatives from Iraq and Kuwait to uncover the fate of people who went missing during the Second Gulf War (1990-1991).

And established the Tripartite Commission and Technical Subcommittee of the years 1991 and 1994, respectively, to reveal the fate of missing persons in this war.

This mechanism has helped so far to uncover the fate of more than 300 missing, including 215 Kuwaitis, 82 Iraqis and 12 Saudis and others of various nationalities.
