Member of the Foreign Relations Committee in the Senate pays tribute to Iraq's accession to the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative
Praised a member of the Foreign Relations Committee in the U.S. Senate, Senator Benjamin Cardin Iraq's accession to the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative.
An official source at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers that the Anti-Corruption Bureau in the U.S. embassy in Iraq had transferred to the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers on the Keywords praise Senator Cardin, who was considered for Iraq to join the initiative is an important step for its future, adding that accession creates a platform towards good governance, and contribute to the stability of Iraq, through the contents of the contexts of the initiative of civil society involvement in extractive industries.
Said Senator Cardin that the involvement of civil society creates a broad front of governmental and private sector in monitoring the extraction operations, marketing, sales and revenue for these industries.
