On Monday Feb.22, Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minster Dr. Barham Salih received the Iraqi Parliament Speaker Iyad Samarai in the Kurdistan Region capital of Erbil.
Both sides discussed the latest political developments in Iraq, preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections and the electoral campaigns.
They affirmed the need to create a democratic and stable atmosphere so as the Iraqi and Kurdistanian voters are able to vote for their candidates.
Relating the security situation in Mosul and its surrounding, they stressed the importance to find a solution which is in the interest of the Iraqi people.
In this regard, the Iraqi parliament speaker describing the existence of a prosperous and powerful region as the existence of a prosperous and powerful Iraq, so we must do our best to solve the suspending issues between both sides.
