Parliament Speaker Iyad al-Samarrai said the time has come for the transfer of the experience of Kurdistan investment to the rest of the provinces.
A statement issued by the Office of the President of the House of Representatives: "The al-Samarrai, during a meeting with a number of investors and businessmen in the province of Kurdistan, see the mega projects executed in the region and the great development witnessed in Kurdistan in recent years."
Samarrai said he hoped that "contribute to the next parliament and the government to activate the role of investment in Iraq and find appropriate land to make a quantum leap in the level of investment and provide facilities that support the draft attract investors, especially the Iraqis were to invest their capital in the country."
He stressed: "the active role played by these projects will contribute in raising the efficiency of the Iraqi employment and reducing unemployment rates within Iraqi society, as well as their impact on economic and social stability of the citizen," according to the statement.
For their part, business leaders expressed their gratitude for the visit by the samurai of the province and the encouragement shown to them, displaying a strong interest in the present experiments all governorates.
They stressed, according to the statement, the social and economic reality in Iraq is set for such projects, and that Iraq must be a role model in the region.
